These glasses offer the Bolle Modulator lens option, which darken or lighten as conditions change. For instance, the Modulator Rose lens has a pink color during cloud cover, and it darkens to a grayer rose color as sunlight increases. The embedded Active Cell Technology works at the molecular level, quickly responding to changing light conditions to give you the best eye protection and performance. Unlike other variable light lenses, Bolle photochromic technology is embedded into the lens under a highly protective hardcoat to prevent wear.
These glasses come with the following lens color options:

Modulator Amber: High contrast amber for flat light color enhancement and extra definition on cloudy days, while providing increased protection in bright sun, darkening to gray. Permits 45 percent to 14 percent of visible light transmission, depending on the conditions.
Tech Talk
Visible Light Transmission: Percentage of light that passes through the lens, depending upon the tint and density of each lens. Darker lenses have a lowerlight transmission percentage as less light is allowed to pass through the lenses, and lighter lenses have a higher transmission percentage as more light passes through.
Polarization: This optically precise filter embedded in the lens eliminate most glare and reflected light.

The nose bridge is not the most comfortable, but it is OK. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Bolle MicroEdge Sunglasses (Eyewear) I'm not a big sunglasses connoisseur, in fact this was my first "serious" pair. Very comfortable and I love the true neutral lenses -- I like to see true color when I'm traveling around. |
