Maui Jim Classic Sunglasses - Stingray - Tortoise Frame w\ HCL Bronze Lens - H103-10

I tried these on for the first time at a Sunglass Hut as suggested by the salesperson and was blown away by the clarity provided. However, I was equally blown away by the price. Shades for over $200 is not what I normally consider to be in my budget. However, I am quite happy now that I purchased them. But there is one note, however, that these shades don't like to stay prompt and tight on your head when you put them in the upright position (say when you move from outdoors to indoors), unlike sportier Oakley's and such. For this reason, I primarily use these sunglasses for driving or boating but not for sports or for going to the beach (I have other shades for those activities). If you need a good pair of driving sunglasses, a pair to leave in the car, then these polarized lenses will treat you well. I bought the Maui Jim Stingrays after I lost my favorite Maui Jims on vacation. My old ones were metal frames and I wanted to try plastic but insisted on glass lenses. I tried Oakleys, Revos, Ray Bans, but the Mauis to me have the best lenses. I am commenting on the bronze lenses which I think give spectacular optics.
I have only had these for a few weeks and have only worn them a few times, but they are very comfortable, give great face coverage with no "leakage" of sunlight around the frames. As for the build quality of the frames, they seem solid though I have not had plastic frames since my Ray Ban Wayfarers 20 years ago ! No creaking, the temples work smoothly and all of the joints line up perfect. Frames made in Italy, not China.

Overall extremely satisfied with these.

This is my fourth pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, spread out over a number of years--because they last forever, unless you sit on a pair and break them, as I did! The clarity of these sunglasses is phenom, as well as the reduction of sun glare. I don't buy anything but the Maui Jim brand.
