This review is from: Ray-Ban RB3293P Bubble Wrap Aviator Polarized Sunglasses (Apparel) I was struggling to decide between these and Ray-Ban's classic aviators (which I've worn for years), and I'm so glad I went with these. The fact that they "wrap" a bit does help keep more sun out, they're more flattering than the classic aviators, and it's just a nice change of pace from the "same old." As for the polarized lenses, I won't even consider anything else - the better visibility and lack of glare make them completely worth the premium. For those concerned about where these are made (apparently the bubble wrap aviators with regular lenses are made in China), these are made in Italy. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Ray-Ban RB3293P Bubble Wrap Aviator Polarized Sunglasses (Apparel) I decided to buy these glasses after much research online and trying pairs on in stores. This site offered the best price for these polarized glasses (I travel, drive, and surf a lot-so they are very useful) and I trust ray ban to be a great brand. Durable and lenses are terrific. Ships very fast and were delivered in excellent condition. Highly recommend. (My wife loves them too) 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By D. They wrap around the head a little better than traditional aviators do, and so do a very good job of protecting your eyes from the sun. I'm fairly indifferent as to whether they are made in China or not, but at the price paid, I'd hope they'd be manufactured in Italy. Ultimately, most of the cost comes from the brand name. Still, these are a step up from my non-polarized Oakley sunglasses. The polarization is decent, but I find it to be slightly uneven. One side will filter the light well, and the other, not so well (until I tilt my head a bit). I find the Maui Jim Akoni Polarized sunglasses work better, but I have not done in-depth testing. It just appears to provide even polarization, but it may be due to my head shape or ear alignment. These sunglasses come with a somewhat thin case that's fairly rigid when it's nice and cool, but softens up a significant amount when left in a car on a hot day. It'll return to its rigidness...Read more |
