By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sunglasses - Classics - Wayfarer / Frame: Tortoise Lens: Brown (Eyewear) My daughter wanted these after getting hooked on Breakfast at Tiffany's.
They look good, but the hinge is just a metal pin through plastic, so treat them gently (I am on my second pair). They are not polarized and a bit on the dark side. From this vendor the shipping cost more than the glasses - around $10 total. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sunglasses - Classics - Wayfarer / Frame: Tortoise Lens: Brown (Eyewear) The shades arrived earlier than I expected. Overall the are a great pair of sunglasses. If you're looking for a pair of sunglasses that are cheap, cool, functional, and durable then these are for you. The spring hinges are amazing, most shades I pick up for even 15 bucks the hinges are always the first to go. No these. Also the plastic is nice and durable, as in they won't spontaneously snap in the middle like other pairs I've owned. One last thing, the lenses are glass or something, not plastic. They aren't Ray bans but then again they're only 3.95. On a side note the description says the lenses are brown but mine were grey... maybe I got a defect or something. This review is from: Sunglasses - Classics - Wayfarer / Frame: Tortoise Lens: Brown (Eyewear) The frame and overall appearance is excellent but the lens quality lets them down. The lens is not as clear as it could be which is annoying. The lenses do not appear to have any coating which makes glare a major issue. However, if you are just looking for a wayfarer look and are not too concerned about the vision issues these are the best looking wayfarer knock offs I have seen. If they can improve the lens quality then these would be a major alternative to the Rayban. |
