Compared to the "Palms" style I own & wear now, not only did the "Rainbow Falls" sunglasses feel better due to the lighter-weight hybrid lens but they looked much better on my oval-to-round-shaped face! Maui Jim's is known for its superb-quality polarized lenses and with the Rainbow Falls collection they may start being known as high-fashion, too. All the retailers, online and "real world," that I checked have these styles priced at $299 -- so I thought I may as well buy them on Amazon with free shipping and no tax. With my highlighted dark ash blond hair the Cinnamon color with the Bronze lenses looked best. Yes, these sunglasses are not cheap and you certainly wouldn't want to lose them. But if you have light-sensistive eyes, spend lots of time outside, especially exercising like I do, and you care about protecting your vision from UV damage, you really don't have a choice -- get a pair of Maui Jim's.

I purchased the Rainbow Falls Sunglasses which I loved until I noticed that the end of the frame temple had scratched the lens. I had these glasses for less than a year and took great care of them. Basically when you close the sunglasses the tip of the temple/arm hits the inside of the lens. I went back to the place where I had purchased the sunglasses and they confirmed that it was a design flaw and he suggested that we send them to Maui Jim for warranty repair. Unfortunately, Maui Jim did not live up to the warranty and refused to replace the frame. They want $84 to replace the lens. I am disappointed with Maui Jim's warranty and will be looking for another pair of glasses to replace these.

First, Maui Jim is known for superior quality, I have been wearing this brand exclusively to manage my migraine headaches since 1998...so functionally, the Rainbow Falls met and exceeded expectation. The size of the lens is perfect, total glare protection. The pink lens are crystal clear and refreshing for my eyes. The frames are wide and dramatic, layer on that the white (almost mother of pearl) color to the frame and you are talking about a totally Fabulous accessory. Nothing about this pair of glasses is understated...and I love that!
